LaTanya Dunbar, Assistant Principal - Curriculum and Testing

LaTanya Dunbar is a native of Woodville, MS and a 1994 graduate of Wilkinson County High School. In 1999, Dunbar graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tougaloo College. In 2001, she began her teaching career as a fourth grade teacher at Davis Magnet IB School in Jackson Public School District. LaTanya continued her education in 2002, where she obtained her Master of Arts in Teaching Elementary Education. In 2011, she obtained her Master of Educational Leadership form Jackson State University.
LaTanya has also taught in Hinds County School District and Madison County School District. In 2015, LaTanya began her administrative career in Natchez-Adams School District as assistant principal at Susie B. West Elementary School. During her tenure in Natchez Adams, Dunbar served as an instructional principal and administrative principal at both Robert Lewis Magnet School and Natchez Middle School. In 2024, Dunbar served one year as assistant principal at Ferriday Junior High in Concordia Parish.
She is the proud mother of Corey, Casey and fur baby Zeke.
