Germantown Middle School is located in Gluckstadt, a community founded in 1905. Madison Crossing Middle School, established in 2006, was renamed Germantown Middle School in 2009 when we moved from our 300 Yandell Road location to our new school at Calhoun Station Parkway.

I am a native of Woodville, MS and a 1994 graduate of Wilkinson County High School. In 1999, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tougaloo College. In 2001, I began her teaching career as a fourth grade teacher at Davis Magnet IB School in Jackson Public School District. I continued my education in 2002, where I obtained my Master of Arts in Teaching Elementary Education. In 2011, I obtained my Master of Educational Leadership form Jackson State University.
I also taught in Hinds County School District and Madison County School District. In 2015, I began my administrative career in Natchez-Adams School District as assistant principal at Susie B. West Elementary School. During my tenure in Natchez Adams, I served as an instructional principal and administrative principal at both Robert Lewis Magnet School and Natchez Middle School. In 2024, I served one year as assistant principal at Ferriday Junior High in Concordia Parish.
I am the proud mother of Corey, Casey and fur baby Zeke.

I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from The University of Mississippi and my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Mississippi College. I look forward to a great year!!

I am excited to serve as the 8th grade Assistant Principal. This year starts my 17th year in education. I received my Master's Degree in Education in 2013 and my Specialist's Degree in Educational Leadership in 2020. My husband and I have 4 beautiful daughters. I am proud to be a member of the Germantown Middle School team and I look forward to the opportunities this school year has in store for us!

To Maverick Nation,
I am excited about beginning my second year at Germantown Middle School as an Assistant Principal and my fifth year in administration.
After working for the football team at Mississippi State from 2011-2014, I began my educational journey by teaching math at Madison Middle School and coaching football at Madison Central High School. From 2014 to 2019, I served as a sponsor for the MMS chapter of The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Beta Club, and also served as a seventh and eighth-grade basketball coach.
I began my leadership journey at Terry High School during the 2019-2020 school year, serving in two roles as the school's Athletic Director and Assistant Principal. From 2020 to 2023, I served as an Assistant Principal at the top-ranked Ocean Springs High School.
Personally, I am married to Kristen Klein and have two daughters, Ellie Brie and Emmie Kate.

Who is Miss VanZandt??! A little about me....
I am from Meridian, MS.
This is my 11th year as a School Counselor and I absolutely love what I do!
I earned my Bachelors degree in Educational Psychology at Mississippi State in Starkville.
Next stop, I worked at Oxford Floral Company in Oxford for a few months. What fun!
I returned to school to earn my Masters degree in School Counseling at Mississippi State in Meridian.
After graduation, I moved to Memphis, TN and worked as a school counselor at a middle school in Southaven for 7 years.
Ultimately, I wanted to be closer to family, so I moved to Ridgeland during the summer of 2022 and worked at an elementary in Clinton.
This year, I am beyond excited and feel incredibly grateful to join Madison County Schools
and the Maverick family here at Germantown Middle!!

My name is Betsey Gill and I am the nurse at Germantown Middle School! I received my bachelor's degree in Nursing from Mississippi University for Women, and I have been a nurse for 9 years. This is my fourth year at GMS - go Mavs! I am married to Joseph Gill and we have two precious boys - Henry (3) and Daniel (1).
This year my school hours are 9 AM - 3 PM daily. I love taking care of your kids at school - thank you for entrusting them to us!

Registration Information
You must provide two different current utility bills (electric, water, gas, land phone) that clearly show your name, street address, service address and date. No cell phone bills will be accepted to verify residency. Any document with a post office box as an address will not be accepted, unless the service address is listed.
IF YOU LEASE YOUR HOME:

You must submit a current lease agreement signed by the homeowner. (all occupants must be listed on the lease)

If your residence has not changed, or if your lease has not expired during the 2022-2023 school year, you need to provide the following:
· 2 current utility bills, as outlined in paragraph 3 below If your residence has changed, please submit the following:
1. An Affidavit of Residence, available at your school office or online at www.madison-schools.com/Domain/773 and:
2. IF YOU OWN YOUR HOME - A recorded copy of your property deed.
IF YOU LEASE YOUR RESIDENCE - An original, current lease agreement naming all residents of the dwelling and:

Utility bills listing a post office box as an address will only be accepted if the service address is also listed.
Please note that residency requirements must be fulfilled each year as part of the registration process. No schedules will be handed out until residency requirements have been satisfied.

An 8-block, alternating-day, block-scheduling format is used. Students attend 4/5 classes each day with each class being attended for 94 minutes. Students will have a "split-block" during 2nd Block or 6th Block for ELA and Math. The split block is noted as 21, 22 or 61, 62.
Take the Sowell Road Exit from I-55. (This exit is between the Gluckstadt and Nissan exits).
Go west to the stop sign (a dead-end) Take a left onto Calhoun Parkway.
Take the first right into the school driveway.
